HELP? toning down a formal dress?

ok so my grandma bought me a gorgeous dress…..the color is a little outrageous but i can live with that a guess……its a very expensive and very long dress which works because i am very tall…it laces up the back it has beaded butterflies and flowers (girly i know) and it is PINK not like a soft pink more like HOT SHINY pink…..i wanna make my grandma happy, this is a very expensive dress and i love the way i look in it even though my mom said i looked like barbie -_- blonde hair haha but i kinda wanna tone it down a bit since our winter formal is semi formal only that way so the bad a** guys will go lol….my boyfriend likes the dress too but i dont wanna stand out all that much btw its very slimming and laces up the back and is halter i REALLY wanna wear the dress help?

A way to tone it done is to wear more subdue makeup and to wear your hair down. The more tame and less done up you look, the tamer you will look in general.
