Diamond Necklace
Boyfriend gives girl a diamond necklace, she sells it, and breaks up with him. Is this wrong?
My friend tried to break up with her boyfriend. The next day, he knocked on her front door and gave her a diamond pendant from Tiffany’s and convinced her to stay with him. She did for the time being, but immediately sold the necklace and then gave him the boot again – permanently. She used the cash to buy a BMW.
It’s not like the necklace was given to her under the condition that she’d stay with him, so technically, what she did is still legal.
Is this right? Wrong? Opinions.
It was a gift so the guy had no legal recourse.
She did nothing wrong, but it is morally wrong. Of course the guy was an idiot as well and deserved it in my opinion.
