(not-so) Lazy Mountain Hike

a couple of weekends ago we went hiking at Lazy Mountain in Palmer, part of the Chugach Mountain Range. It’ just about a half hour drive or so to the trailhead and was loads of fun. i wasn’t thinking it was so lazy and kept asking “are we there yet?” (meaning near the peak). lilly rode on mike’s back most of the way up. but when some friends of ours slowed down with their young baby she and i decided to take a break also. we had fun playing with karl, kristan, and kristofer while mike, abby and john brown hiked on up. abby and mike stopped a little further up and john went all the way up. it was a very cool alaskan experience that i’m looking forward to doing some more this summer. the vantage point from up there is unbeatable. the view in the pictures is of palmer and the matanuska river. abby and mike took turns taking one another’s photo at their highest point.

Looks like loads of fun. I have always loved to hike in the mountains but I need to get back in better shape for hiking. Then my next trip maybe ya’ll can take me too. That first picture does not look too lazy! I know the view was breathtaking. Hope you all have a wonderful summer.
