snowing again again.

ok, well, hmmm, uh, how do i say this without sounding bitter? it’s SNOWING AGAIN! can you believe it? i was told to not do the happy dance about spring too soon. but did i listen? i mean, it’s exciting to come out of hibernation and all. the kids and i have been outside every day this week for a couple of hours. great fun. we even went to the zoo on wednesday. long sleeves and flip flops fun without the hassel of hats and gloves and snow pants. and we’re making some new friends here now. friends that come over for dinner. friends with kids. friends that live really close. i’ve been feeling renewed. i even saw mt. mckinley driving home from anchorage on wednesday…it was such a gorgeous day.

and now it’s snowing. there’s an inch or two out there and it doesn’t look like giving up soon. that’s it. i think i’ll go wash all the mittens and hats and call it officially over for us. winter, that is. i’m breaking up with it whether it’s breaking up or not.
