when did i get old enough?

or i guess i should say when did abby get old enough. old enough to say something to me and her dad responds, “you know, she’s got a point!” geez! usually mike feels outnumbered but this time it was me.

i haven’t been blogging in a while. it’s funny how i go in spurts with it. i’ve been working on stuff with the girls. abby and i made cloth diapers for her Baby Alive twins. the disposables are $5 for a 6 pack. yeah, right? i don’t think so! she got to go to the store with me and choose the fabric and everything. talk about one happy little 5 year old. we made the boy ones but then i figured out that we need to line them with more than cotton quilt batting. that little bottle of water is way more water than i thought. so the girl ones will be better somehow, if i have to stick a zip-loc in there.

lilly has started saying a lot more. she now has added to her vocabulary, “money” and “t” for turn. “my t, my t” about everything abby gets to do. and “b” for boo. it’s weird how she says the beginning letter but not the whole word. she’s a cutie.100_6099.jpg100_6101.jpg100_6103.jpg

I saw that those diapers were pricey-even more so than regular baby diapers which is just crazy!!!

Look at you go!You are so talented!!

I think you could make a fortune!! Can you cut a plastic lining from a cheap, thin plastic shower curtain, and sew it and a little extra absorbent fabric(flannel or an old CLEAN cloth diaper from Goodwill)? So, it would layer in this order: outside cute fabric, plastic lining, then absorbent fabric. I don’t know, just a thought! You always have such great ideas! I know you girls are having a good time!!

Speaking of the diapers not holding enough water, ask Mike about the cow that you pumped her tail and she drank, and then you could really milk her.
Big Grandma (Betty) said, “I’m glad he asked you for that GM Doris, as it will probably cost an arm and leg.”
Well…. when I read the directions for taking the udder apart to clean it, I thought I’d rather pay than to clean it.
