last night in the car on the way home from Bible study, Abby was talking to Mike. it went something like this:

abby: dad, i bet Bible stories were really boring to you when you were a little boy, huh?

mike: well, no, not to me, they were cool to learn about.

abby: yeah, well at least i know that you didn’t have so much Veggie Tales like we do now. so i think yours were probly boring. just noah and moses and stuff like that.

    Wow. I never thought about that… Maybe my childhood Bible stories were boring… ;)

    Mike was with us for a visit when he was about 10 years old. He came into the kitchen and said, “Grandma Doris, I hate Sundays.” My first thought was, Oh my goodness what’s wrong with this child. When I asked, “Why?” He quickly responded with, “There are no cartoons on TV on Sundays.” How much will you pay me Mike not to tell anymore stories? Love, Grandma Doris
