dentist appointment

so today we got up at the crack of dawn, actually long before the crack of dawn here, to head to anchorage for lilly’s dentist appointment. the snow was still dumping and traffic was slowed down to about 20 mph or less most all the way.

the dentist was incredible. she had a dog there, loves kids and was great with lilly. she said her gums looked bruised but there was no sign of infection at this point and to just wait. she told us to watch for complications and call if there were any but will see us in 2 weeks. so we happily left and headed to palmer to drop mike off at work.

when i was on our road and almost to our driveway i drove the car off into the invisible ditch… the snow is much deeper here than i’ve ever driven in. thankfully our landlord was out plowing driveways and took a break and  tried pushing the car out while i gave it the gas to back up. but all it did was smoke the tires. i came to the house and got my boots on and got the girls out and into the house. oh, what fun my week has been! dave is on the way to help as i type so hopefully the drama will be over soon.

i think i’ll go take a nap after that!
