thoughts from today

images.jpegcell phones were much easier to find around the house/car when they came in a bag big enough for tammy faye bakers cosmetics and looked like something you could contact extra terrestrial life forms with. come to think of it, life was easier in general then! why did we have to make them cute, and neat, tiny, portable, and superb technologically?

why, oh why, did i dare leave the little sock i was making in the round on the couch?????? the stitch monster found it and pulled it straight off the needles. i was too upset to even inspect the damage and by a knee jerk reaction (much like shooing a fly that is in your face) swatted at lilly’s little leg. abby said, “are you trying to spank her hard enough to make her cry momma? cause it’s not working!”  i had to go take 25 deep breaths. it doesn’t always work…

what can i prepare for dinner with approximately 8 chicken nuggets, a bag of frozen chopped onion, and 1 yogurt popsicle? oh yeah, we do have some montery jack cheese to throw in the mix.

gee, i’m glad these are the most serious thoughts for me today! pennny for your thoughts….

Hi, how is it that you can live in Alaska and make me laugh
in Arkansas. I loved your “ribbons” today. I’m interested
in all the things all of you do, but I do admit you come up
with some goodies. The stitch monster and her big sister
took the prize today. Wish I could have heard that.
I’ll be so glad to see all of you when you make it home
to Arkansas for at least a few days. Do you know dates
yet? I do believe my schedule is flexible enough to
    handle that. ha. love, nannaw

We can hardly wait to see y’all. Tell Miss Abby that we’ll have those beans that have eyes (black-eyed peas) that she loves so much all ready for her on arrival. The girls new playroom is ready. All it needs is them. Loved her comments about poor little Lilly’s punishment. What that child can’t think of is not thinkable. Love, Grandma Doris
