it’s official. we’re alaskans. yep, that is abby wearing her sporty glitter gold flip flops with her jeans and shortsleeve AND sweatshirt. i had to chuckle to myself as i was taking this picture. i have been cool the whole time we’ve been here. now i wear my shortsleeves in the 50-60 degrees like everyone else thank you very much. i remember the first 3 weeks thinking maybe we needed the heat on. nope, we didn’t do it. yep, we survived. and now i’m not cold at home anymore. in fact, our windows are often open. funny how our bodies adjust to our surroundings.

and, introducing, lilly the big girl. is her hair cut not the best? okay, so the bangs were a little crooked but i think we made the poor stylist nervous. what with the camera, the purple lovey and all. me directing abby to take pictures while i’m holding lilly for the haircut. i will be asking for the same stylist-girl next time, crooked bangs and all. with no camera in tow.

we’re going swimming after naptime, better go do some dishes before all the fun begins.
